The Third Annual Enterprising Women in Commerce Awards, hosted by CIANJ and COMMERCE Magazine on August 16, 2023, was a momentous occasion that highlighted enterprising women in their respective industries – from accounting to manufacturing and beyond. This recognition not only honors female achievements but also celebrates their determination, dedication, and contribution to the fabric of commerce. The nominees are industry and future leaders, who inspire and encourage others daily. Case Medical, a force in the manufacturing field of medical device processing products and software, proudly participated in the festivities with our team of female leaders and STEM professionals. We applaud the remarkable women who are achieving great feats in healthcare and in industry.

A Duo of Distinction: Marcia Frieze and Qing Guo

This year’s Enterprising Women in Commerce ceremony recognized two of Case Medical’s very own. The spotlight shone brightly on our CEO Marcia Frieze and General Counsel Qing Guo, both of whom garnered nominations and were featured in the August 2023 edition of the CIANJ & COMMERCE Magazine. Marcia's receipts of the Enterprising Women in Commerce – Manufacturing Award is a reflection of her innovative approach, and unwavering commitment to Case Medical’s vision. Qing Guo was nominated for CIANJ's headline award, aptly named “One to Watch”.  This prestigious accolade recognizes a woman who is in the beginning of her first or second career yet has already set the world ablaze with her contributions.

Marcia Frieze: Leading with Vision and Purpose, with a Focus on Sustainability in Manufacturing

It has been my pleasure throughout my career to mentor others, especially women in STEM to pursue careers in manufacturing and to encourage our workforce to learn more, find their passion, and continue advancing. At Case Medical, more than half of our engineering team are women, and we encourage women on the production floor to expand their knowledge and perform tasks that were previously only available to men,” says Marcia.

Qing Guo: “One to Watch” Lighting the World on Fire

"I am honored to be featured alongside my mentor and friend, Marcia Frieze, as well as other inspirational industry leaders at the Enterprising Women in Commerce Awards Ceremony. This recognition is a testament to the incredible support and encouragement of what happens when women lead and when women mentor. Being part of a community that values innovation, sustainability, and collaboration is a privilege, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the fabric of commerce and to work at a company that is truly MADE IN New Jersey. This nomination is also a nod to our wonderful 175+ team at Case Medical, without whom we would not be here today” says Qing regarding her nomination.
